A Look Inside Kris Jenner’s $500,000 Hermes Handbag Collection
This week, Glamour published an article which looks inside the astonishing Hermes collection of Kris Jenner, head of the Kardashian clan. By looking through a range of archived material such as auction results, resale listings, and paparazzi pictures, Glamour have managed to create an overview of the huge collection of Hermes bags held by Kris Jenner, and estimated their worth at over half a million dollars!
Included in the collection is a Crocodile Birkin worth $72,000, a Black Shiny Birkin worth $32,000, a Red Birkin worth $14,000, a Red Kelly Pochette worth $10,000, and her latest purchase, a Shiny Blue Crocodile Birkin worth $61,000. However, these prices are only estimates calculated by Glamour themselves and our experts at Baghunter feel that the estimates are on the low side with many of the bags in the collection worth much more than quoted bringing the value of Kris Jenner’s Hermes collection to closer to a million dollars! Quite the investment by the Kardashian matriarch!
The Secret Stamp Only The Elite Know About
The Daily Times in Pakistan have this week reported on a secret stamp found only on a handful of Birkins and known only by the elite. The stamp in question is the Hermes horseshoe stamp which signifies a Birkin or Kelly handbag was made by Hermes to the specifications of a top collector. The information has come from Christie’s Auction House, who claim they receive up to 200 percent more for bags which carry this secret stamp.
The stamp signifies some form of personalization on the bag such as a contrasting interior, a bicolor or tricolor exterior, contrasting stitching, or even a brushed finish on the hardware. Just this week a horseshoe stamped Birkin was listed for sale between $80,000 and $100,000, but actually ended up selling for $149,000! It is not uncommon to find extra symbols on Hermes bags such as a shooting star symbol which signifies the bag was made for someone associated with the company. Be sure to double check your Birkins and Kellys to see if a secret symbol is featured on them!
