Bags of the Week: Crystal Bags

Some of the rarest and most eye-catching bags shine, sparkle, and dazzle their way into the hearts of women worldwide. Crystal bags have a unique appeal due to the wonderful glittering of the crystals as they catch the light at the end of a spring day or twinkle under the florescent lights at a business dinner or social gathering. There is no denying that crystal bags are one of the first to catch the eye of everyone in the vicinity and are the most talked about bags at any event.

So, for this week’s edition of Bags of the Week we are focusing on these glamourous and highly-desirable crystal bags, each of which has been specially customized with Swarovski crystals for that ‘wow’ factor. Below we will look in detail at two Hermes bags – a Hermes Constance Mini with Swarovski Crystals and an extremely rare Hermes Sac A Malice Seal Bag – and a Crystal Chanel Bag with Swarovski Crystals.

Hermes Constance Mini with Swarovski Crystals

First up we have a real treat – a one of a kind, custom made Hermes Constance Mini embellished with Swarovski crystals. This unique bag immediately catches the eye thanks to the wonderful lilas color, which in itself is a rare color to find on a Hermes bag. The color is accentuated by the Swarovski crystals which are found on the front, back, and flap of the bag. The crystals placed around the bag are of different sizes and densities, providing a unique and attractive pattern which will never be replicated. As you can see in the picture below, the larger crystals are placed at the bottom and top of the bag, with smaller crystals in the center directing attention towards the large ‘H’ which is synonymous with a Constance bag.

The bag is crafted from a combination of three materials – suede, velour, and doblis – which provide a soft and tender to the touch interior. The palladium hardware works superbly with both the material combination and the embellished crystals to create a stunning design. Upon opening the flap, you can find a hand-stitched ‘Hermes Paris Made in France’ tag, along with intricate stitching along the edges of the flap. The ‘H’ acts as the clasp, allowing speedy and simple access to the interior of the bag. Hermes Sac A Malice Seal Bag

The second crystal bag we are placing under the spotlight this week is an elegant and unusual Hermes Sac A Malice Seal Bag. This incredible design is almost impossible to find anywhere else and is among the most sought after styles in the Hermes collection. It was released as a special edition by Hermes and so there will never be any more created by the French boutique. The design shows a silver seal in the center of the bag which appears to be balancing the gold-plated ball closure on its nose. This design is sure to spark the interest of anyone who lays eyes upon it.

The bag is crafted from a combination of suede and doblis material, both of which offer a velvety and smooth feel to the bag. The crystal embellishment is found on the front of the bag with the clever design using black crystals on the main panel and silver crystals for the seal pattern. Rounding off our crystal bags special this week is a wonderful crystal Chanel Bag embellished with Swarovski crystals. This bag is a Chanel exclusive and impossible to find elsewhere, meaning that once it has been sold it is gone forever. The large diamond design which is synonymous with Chanel is present throughout the bag, however, with a slight difference. This difference is the crystal embellishment which accentuates the design and emphasizes the famous interlocking double ‘C’s.

Crafted from leather, the bag features a medium flap which provides easy access to the interior. Inside, you will find an interior zipper pocket which is ideal for storing your valuables and a small signature Chanel stamp. The leather material is ideal for the interior as it is hard wearing and resists most scratches and spills. The black color of the interior is also a perfect complement to the black and silver crystal embellishments on the exterior, making the bag look fantastic weather opened or closed.
